Our hygiene team are all very experienced and suitably qualified and GDC registered.
They along with the dentist, recognise that maintenance of healthy bone levels in the mouth is of paramount importance if premature loss of teeth is to be prevented.
They will work with you to identify the level of hygiene care that it necessary for you.
Depending upon the level of cleaning that is required, the hygienists will prescribe the appropriate care from our hygiene menu.
The menu includes:
Classic care including the use of an air polisher to remove all stains
Extensive clean or root surface debridement under a local anaesthesia
Depending upon the severity of the gum disease treatment may be carried out over the space of 1 or 2 visits.
However, patients with severe gum disease, may require several sessions to remove tartar and bacteria deposits from around and under the gum line.
The hygiene team will provide a tailored daily hygiene and cleaning plan to promote the long-term care and maintenance of the teeth and gums.
